LILIAN MAUS, born in 1983 in Salvador (BA), is an artist, producer and PhD candidate in the Post Graduation Program in Visual Arts of the Art Institute of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (2010). Graduated with academic honors as a Bachelor in Visual Arts – Major in Drawing (2005) as well as a Teaching Degree in Visual Arts from the same institute, she was member and executive manager of artist-run space Subterrânea Studio from 2007 to 2015, where she produced many cultural projects, exhibitions, publications,independent art courses, lectures, as well as her work. Graduated in Social Communication / Journalism at Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) with studying experience at the New University of Lisbon (Portugal). Journalist and assistant producer at the Subterrânea Studio. Author of interviews published in books such as “The Ladies Have the Floor: dialogues on the inclusion of women in visual arts” (2014), “VECTOR – Subterrânea as platform for residencies ” (2013) and “BR116: Independent Circuits in Transit” (2013). Previous work experiences at Goethe-Institut, São Paulo International Art Fair and Iberê Camargo Foundation.
